“be Sure” interior magazine will hold the 21st Century Sofa Design Competition for the second time and looking forward to receiving the exclusive and unique sofa designs which gives the 21st century’s lifestyle more colorful and comfortable.
Early April 2003, Selection Committee; composed by 8 interior shops (see below) and “be Sure” Editorial Office; will make selection on the basis of the submitted designs and the outline given in the application. Each shop will choose 1 Gold Prize and “be Sure” 1 Special Prize.

The awarded applicants will be contacted by the interior shop who selected the design to produce a prototype.

Interior Lifestyle, 17-19 June 2003, Tokyo Big Sight
The prototypes of the awarded designs are displayed at the exhibition hall of Interior Lifestyle. Visitor’s vote will be taken on-site during the fair and the Grand Prize is selected. ※ No explanation of the results will be provided. Objection of the results will not be accepted.

“be Sure” Special Prize........ 1 (certificate)

○ To be selected among the Gold Prizes by visitor’s vote at Interior Lifestyle 2003.
○ The results will be published on the “be Sure” June 2003 edition. (6 May 2003 on sale)
●Rights
The copyright of the awarded design is remained to the applicant. However, the priority of rights to merchandise the awarded design as a product remains to the interior shop who produces the prototype.

The royalty, patent and all other related subjects upon the merchandise are to be negotiated between the applicant and the shop
The awarded design’s prototypes are presented at the exhibition hall of “Interior Lifestyle” to be held from 17 to 19 June 2003 at Tokyo Big Sight. The prize-giving ceremony will also be conducted at the exhibithion hall.
